Mike:

If you have a moment, could you please clarify a rumor I heard from one of my sales reps? He constantly chides me for still pushing warnings about HR 669..."you're the only person on my entire route who's still worried about this thing...it really has died down...it's hurting your business..." etc.  On the last note, as we've discussed before, he's right.  It is hurting our business.  But I apparently suffer from a rare and deadly disease called 'conscience.'  And I will not sit back and lie by omission to my customers, just to make sales.

The rumor he told me this morning was that Marshall Meyers recently spoke to the media and to one of the pet trade rags, and said that HR 669 is no longer a danger, and that it's been totally rewritten to target only poisonous snakes.  Every other stipulation and species of animal has been completely removed from the reworked version.

I would love for that to be true...but it is such a HUGE departure from where this thing began that I simply don't believe it.

I would really, really appreciate any accurate info you can give me, so that I can pass it on to my sales rep and to my customers.  Thank you very much for your time and effort, it's greatly appreciated!!

The comments attributed to Marshall are erroneous.  I am going to ask him to address these comments directly.
