(CONGRESSIONAL
HEARINGS
BANNING NON-NATIVE
SPECIES)
If passed, American
citizens will no longer
be allowed to buy,
sell, breed, OR EVEN OWN any
kind of "exotic" pet!
This includes ALL
tropical fish, ALL
birds, ALL small "pocket
pets"
such as hamsters,
gerbils, guinea pigs,
and ferrets,
and ANY
kind of amphibian or reptile!
This is not a joke or
urban legend! It
is deadly serious!
The Bill went before the
House Committee
on
April 23, 2009, for
review,
and we are still
waiting to hear what
"revisions"
will be made
before it is passed.
Additionally, a
"companion Bill" is
currently being written
for the Senate.
The politicians involved
are hoping to make it
a nationwide Law by
Christmas 2010.
